Blair had the day off yesterday (April 1st) so we decided it would be the perfect time to take Gavin to the zoo. It was his first time and I hadn't been since I was about 7 so we were super excited! Gavin was a little put off in the beginning because of the wandering peacocks. He was also a little unsure about seeing an actual monkey. He loves his toy monkey and is constantly saying "Ooo-Ooo" but I think seeing them for real kinda made him nervous. He got over it quickly though and we think he just loved it!
Gavin absolutely loved the otters, seals and sea lions. They really were cool! He loved standing right by the glass and watching them swim, they were so cute!
Our next stop was the bears, please excuse my expression as the sun was quite bright!
We all loved the giraffes, I think they were my favorite. They are just incredible!
The wolves were really neat and Gavin can now say "wolf!"
Gavin just getting to know the Meerkat, he had a moment like this with the fox next to him as well. So cute!
We were glad we got to see the Rhinos but in the little space between the Rhino area and the sidewalk we were on there was a goose. Gavin was so very excited about the goose and he can now say "goose!" as well. He makes us laugh! We tried to explain how common geese are and how not common Rhinos are but, whatever makes him happy! Sadly there was no picture of the super awesome goose, but here are my cute men with the Rhino

Love the blog updates! I love hearing about whats going on since we don't get to talk often. I am so glad you took him to the Zoo! I think it is the best age for it. Nathan loved it! I don't think they realized the animals in books are real. You have such a cute family! Love ya
Looks like the perfect family outing. And after being to Africa....those rhino's and elephants are just the coolest thing ever!
