In Relief Society on Dec. 16 our lesson was on Living Righteously in Perilous Times. It could not have been more fitting at that time because the elementary school shooting had just taken place. It was a very emotionally charged lesson with a lot of mourning for those lives that were lost. Blair and I were so very, very affected by this shooting. It took place so close to Christmas, we just couldn't imagine what those families were going through. It made us hold Gavin and each other a little closer. We are so immensely grateful for our families and knowledge we have that we will be together always. Christmas was so emotional for me this year knowing that so many would be without their children, but it was also so reassuring to know that because our Savior was born that they are are now back with their Father in Heaven.
I'm so sorry to begin our Christmas post with so many, not happy things. Our Christmas really was so wonderful this year, and I'm so grateful that it could be that way. Gavin was a fun age this year although, I think it was still quite the overload for him. We woke him up around 8:30 and as we called his name he began to grin and chuckle, still pretending to be asleep, it was the Cutest. Thing. Ever!!

He opened one present (a tool box) and basically lost interest in opening anything else. Silly boy! He got so many great things this year from Grandparents and Aunts, we are so grateful to everyone! Blair's main gift to me was new clothes :-) I just dislike shopping for myself so much that he had to do it for me, yay! Blair got some new tools which he loves! We have been so blessed this year and we are so grateful!
