Happy New Year!

Wow! It is so strange that the holidays are over and that it is actually 2013. I really love starting the New Year. It always brings me a sense of wanting to accomplish things. This year began with taking Gavin off of his bottle, hooray! January 1st we switched him over to either a cup or sippy exclusively and he's actually done pretty well. I was nervous about the whole making him go cold turkey thing, but there is just no other way that makes sense in my mind, especially with his personality! If he knew it was still available then he wouldn't be happy until he got it. The first day was hard as was the second, but he's done marvelously well today, we are SO glad! He is such a good little guy! This year, like a lot of people, I have a goal of getting into better shape. I was chasing Gavin through the grocery store the other day and got winded way to fast. It makes me want to do better, mostly because Gavin is only going to get faster! Blair has high hopes for a raise within the first couple of months this year. His hard work has been noticed by his bosses and they've all told him how much they appreciate him. He is such a fantastic employee. Our fingers are crossed! That decision I think will be a deciding factor in whether or not Blair will stay there for much longer. He enjoys his job but it's definitely not the career he is looking for. The beginning of the year is always so exciting for us, full of hopes and goals that we intend to keep! We hope you all had a wonderful New Year's!
