Lucy Update

Where in the world does the time go? It's so hard to believe that it's been 4 months since we brought our beautiful baby girl home.
She is the sweetest!
Lucy is learning and growing everyday. She loves to use her hands and grab at anything within her reach. She will smile at everyone and anyone that will catch her eye, but she will not laugh. Her laughs are so reserved and they come so sporadically, but when we get them are the cutest thing ever! She has the cutest sad face and the saddest cry you've ever heard. How do we know when she's really mad? She stops crying and starts to spit. She is the silliest goose. She adores Gavin. She watches him all day long and will almost always laugh for him. She gets so excited to see him that she can hardly contain it - she'll launch herself backwards and her little arms and legs will flail, it is so stinkin cute. Love that they love each other!
Her sleeping has really improved by leaps and bounds. About 3 weeks ago she was sleeping from midnight to 11:30 am or so pretty consistently. Going to bed at midnight or later every night is rough, but at least she was sleeping through. Last week, 5 out of the 7 nights, she was in bed between 10 and 10:30 and would sleep 12 hours. It was heavenly! We are really hoping that she'll continue to improve.
Lucy does great in the car for exactly the amount of time it takes to get from here to Pleasant Grove. As soon as we pull into Grandma's driveway she starts to fuss, and it's the same going home as well. We're grateful that she'll last at least that long!
Be prepared for a picture overload. Here are a few more things about our baby girl!
At 4 months she weighs 16 lbs 4 oz and is 26 inches long, check out the chubbiness -
On June 5th she rolled over from back to tummy. She was so proud! Last week she rolled from tummy to back, the rotation is complete.

Her lips are constantly puckered - needless to say she gets lots and lots of kisses!
Her toes are obviously delicious
She has spent lots of time with cousins!

Lucy and Grandma, silly girl! We really don't have any experience with stranger danger because Gavin didn't have it, ever! Almost the minute someone besides Blair and I pick her up she starts to cloud up, that little lip pokes out and then the tears come. It is so foreign that Lucy won't just go happily to Grandmas and Grandpas. I know someday she'll prefer them!
She loves the bumbo!
Has mixed feelings about her hair ribbons and her car seat -
She loves her big brother!
These last 4 months have been the hardest by far, but so so very worth it. She is beautiful, sweet, and has such an amazing spirit. We love you sweetheart!
